What is the Florida foam fighters association?
The Florida Foam Fighters Association is an objective non-biased group formed in 2008 by Florida Foam Fighters who are dedicated to increasing communication and participation of the various Florida foam fighting groups in Florida. We provide the tools to both leaders and fighting groups around Florida to promote their system and events to other Florida members.
However, the FFA is not just about bringing people together to fight, it's also about providing a community where people can come to speak with others who also participate in foam sports. Through this community they can seek knowledge, make friends, and meet new people. That's where the Florida Foam Fighters Association comes in. We serve to act as the middle man. We associate with no particular group but strive to help all groups realize the importance of a united Florida.
The History
Florida has a pretty long history of being lacking when it comes to any foam fighting group for various reasons. Up until now Florida has comprised of handfuls of small splintered groups of different systems that would never play with each other. As months went by, groups would form up and then die within the following months because there was no incentive to recruit and continue as a group. Obviously something had to be done and clearly there was more than one person who thought so.
Two Belegarth fighters from the east coast Lowlands Realm
(Gorewood at the time) set up an alliance meeting. They brought the
leaders and members of various groups together in one spot. It was
very successful in that many great ideas were discussed and decided upon. However, shortly
after everyone left and dispersed there were many unfulfilled promises still
lingering in the air. Nothing ended up happening as a result of the meeting and everyone returned
to their splintered isolated groups.
Thus, the Florida Foam Fighters Association was created to take action against indecision and to finally connect Florida. Since it's creation, the FFA along with Florida foam fighting has exploded in growth of new realms and membership. So, what are you waiting for?
